    The guy was weird, okay, he was weird and kinda scary, and Miles can’t say he was terribly fond of him, what with the whole threatening to mega-punch his face in. Even after he’d gotten out (“don’t watch the mouth, watch the hands”) and gotten him on his side (turned out he missed his dad really badly, and a promise to bring him by Miles’ universe sometime was pretty convincing apparently), he was still strange to Miles. Uncanny valley, or something like that. So close to being something you know, but so other that they aren’t even close at the same time.

    Anyway. This is a very long-winded way of saying he didn’t really know what he was doing sat in front of Miles-42, his hands pulling through his hair.
