Mira’s finger resting near her arm, traces mindless patterns as she patiently waits for her girl to talk. Zoey loves that about Mira. How the girl is short leashed with everyone, but her. Like this secret soft part of Mira is just for Zoey.
“Did you feel the Honmoon today?”
Zoey feels as Mira’s finger pause before she continues the patterns. So soft, almost quieter than a prayer, she admits, “Yes.”
Zoey looks up at the beautiful face before she holds her hand over Mira’s heart, “I meant in here.”
“My tit?”
Zoey’s lips tremble, before smiling. She laughs and she jokingly splashes some water towards the taller girl, “No, you doofus. In your heart, the place that is meant for…her.”
Mira is quiet, as she tightens her hold and replaces her chin on Zoey’s shoulder, “I-...for a second.”
Zoey stares at the side of Mira’s face, and her heart tightens with loss and she…she doesn’t want to hope, but,...”What does this mean?”
Mira stares at the water and curls protectively around the remaining piece of her heart, as she mumbles back into the quiet, “I don’t know.”What if Rumi was raised as a demon?

the majority of it was a cloudy white, the suction-cup base a pink similar to her own hair, and dotted throughout the rest of its length? charming hearts that Mira found surprisingly cute for what the product was. and to put the cherry on top of it all?
the name of it: 'First Love'.
it was so stinking cute, Mira had to berate herself for the way her heart fluttered. sue her - she liked cute things.
however, Zoey had descended to the crouch Mira hadn't realised she'd taken in front of the toy box, level and eyeing the same packaging before reading out loud: "'Beginner friendly.'"
Mira flinched, eyes flickering just below the name to stare at the tagline Zoey had just announced, and tensed her expression.
how embarrassing…
