Summary
Severus Snape didn't know what was going on with Harry Potter. One minute he was having a seizure and spending the night in the Infirmary, and the next he was gone. Three weeks later, he witnesses the boy miraculously reappear and slay the Dark Lord. Now he's sitting in Albus Dumbledore's office listening to the boy claim that he's from the future and the Master of Death while Voldemort's corpse hovers beside them. Potter has changed and Severus finds himself landed with a boy who isn't the same irritating brat that he once knew.
This was originally titled The Potion Master's Apprentice, written by Athy and abandoned, up for adoption. She has kindly allowed me to take her beautiful idea into my own hands to do with it as I will. It is still here on AO3 and you should go read it. I've used many of her words, her original concept, and then put my own twist on it. Thank you so much for letting me adopt your story.

Severus Snape was released from Dumbledore's complete control. And Remus Lupin opened his eyes, embraced his power and oaths, and turned eagerly to protect and train his cub.

Summary
The Headmaster looked to them expectantly, as if this was enough explanation to change their minds. He seemed to think that Magnus and Alec were being stubborn—which they were, but for entirely different reasons—and that they were not agreeing to his requests for the pure sake of it, as if by denying him they acquired some sort of amusement.
Granted, Magnus did think that attempting to rile up this wizened, white bearded man would be a hoot, but right now, when his son’s safety and home were hanging in the line, he didn’t particularly feel like trying.

Or the one where Harry is adopted by the Lightwood-Banes, and the wizards get to learn first-hand just how protective Magnus and Alec are of their family.
