A loud knock at the door startled Stone out of his thoughts, the former agent letting out a sigh as he rose from his chair, setting his glass of wine aside as he went to the door, expecting to see one of his neighbors.
He did not, however, expect to see a weary Dr Ivo Robotnik holding a familiar black and red hedgehog in his arms, staring at Stone with nothing but relief and love in his tired brown eyes.

After failing his latest psych evaluation, Agent Stone finds himself pulled from almost a decade in the international field and placed on domestic babysitting duty for an eccentric scientist who makes it very clear that Stone could either walk away right now or else quit in a bodybag. Well, Stone has never been a quitter and what begins as a war of attrition over some HR forms slowly morphs into a functional(?) working relationship and the beginnings of a deeply unprofessional crush on his boss. That is, right up until the government comes up with a plan B to get rid of them both.
