"It takes a village to raise a child" is a proverb that means that an entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.

Eighth year, Harry's finding it even more difficult to get a good night's sleep, and Ron is up late thinking, anyway.
***
A series of sleepless nights, two insomniac idiots, and a whole lot of shit-talking.

Summary
“We have quite a lot to talk about, wouldn’t you say Harry?”
Harry gulped at Voldemort’s words, watching wordlessly as Snape took a seat across from him. Harry took instead to staring at his scuffed shoes.
“Potter, I have no use in a one-sided conversation.” He felt his anger simmering just where the limits had been last time, before Voldemort’s control on him had tipped him over the edge.
He saw movement out of the corner of his eyes and watched as Nagini, his snake, slithered across the table heading, it seemed, straight for him.
“OKAY, okay, tell it—her to stop.” Harry choked out.
A few moments passed when Harry thought for sure that he would be snake bait before,
“Nagini, cease.” Voldemort muttered at the useless thing.
His words were so powerful that it felt like the magic inside him was spilling out with every word. Harry, along with the rest of them in the room, were just simply feeding off of his own energy.
“Tell me Potter, when did you realise that I was controlling you through your scar, through our connection?”
He wasted no time in getting to it. He honestly looked like he was enjoying this and Harry had to hold back from screaming.
