Just as Death begins to tower over Agatha, her shadow creeping over to blanket her wife ominously, the younger woman throws her arms over her head, cowering, and screams, “AZALEAS.”
Rio freezes.

Summary
Agatha looked down, and sure enough, there she was. Rio Vidal, Lady Death, and Agatha’s wife stood tall. “Agatha, darling,” she greeted softly. “Walk with me?”
The purple glow of Agatha’s celestial Magick brightened just slightly. Rio had chosen to face her in that infuriatingly beautiful human form.
“I’m surprised you’re not here as your true self,” Agatha said, the set of her mouth firm and unwavering, not at all how she felt. “I mean honestly, Rio, your wife becomes a higher being and you can’t even appear to her as Lady Death?”
Rio’s dark eyes shone. “This is the form you fell in love with,” she said quietly, extending a hand out to Agatha. “Now will you please walk with me?”

What if Rio had been there for Agatha? What if Agatha's new power meant that she could see Nicky again without having to die first? What if it meant they could be a family again?

Summary
She reaches her hands towards Agatha, hovers over the first wound, on her thigh, when Agatha knocks away her palm.
“No.” Agatha’s eyes meet hers, something deadly coiled within her gaze. “With your mouth.”
Rio’s breath shivers out of her, her heart skipping a beat in her chest. “W-what?”
“You heard me.” Agatha tilts her head, eyes never leaving Rio’s. “Or has it been so long that you’ve forgotten how to follow orders?”
Swallowing, Rio shakes her head. But she doesn’t understand. Why would Agatha want that? After a century of silence, after making her hatred clear, why would Agatha want Rio’s mouth on her?
AKA Agatha and Rio, from the very beginning, until the end. My version of filling in the gaps of their history.

"I sense something stirring," Rio had whispered, and Agatha had sucked in a hopeful breath underneath her.
