Chapter 1:
A bright burst of intense violet light exploded in Keith’s vision as he swerved around another shot, another near miss. The world was on fire.
Well, his ship was on fire, at least. Things weren’t looking too good.

My favourite trope: Alternate Universe / Dimension Travel. I'm really into Batfam stuff lately, so I thought to myself, what if I plucked a sad 3rd season 'finding himself' Keith from Voltron and dropped him into a world where Batman could find him and struggle between his paranoid suspicion and his tendency to serial-adopt black haired troubled youths? Warning, I'm not 100% sure where I want to take this past chapter 4, but don't worry, this won't be one of those rush-to-the-ending kind of fics. I plan to let this weird twisted premise take me where it leads. If it leads anywhere.

Red Hood’s modulated voice is bone-chilling. Nearly every sleaze-bag in Crime Alley had become accustomed to the gravely robotic nature of it. The unnatural shifts in his words and the variations in pitch being just ever so slightly off putting. Borderline uncanny, yet everyone who’s heard it knows there’s a human behind that voice. A man who choses to blow a hole through someone’s skull without so much of an afterthought.
Though, no one had ever heard that voice scream.
Not until tonight.
Or, Red Hood is captured, Nightwing saves him and while helping him afterwards, puts the wrong puzzle pieces together and confronts him which does not go quite how he planned.

Palpatine’s voice rang out over the plaza, but Leia could hardly hear it over the ringing in her ears. How? When? Palpatine was dead—she was sure of it. Luke had been sure of it. So, how—
But then, Leia realized as she looked up at his face on the screen, she had never seen Palpatine like this. The Emperor had forgone that dark cloak that shielded his face from view. Instead his visage was plain and unmarred. He looked…ordinary. He looked like a regular man. Old. Not feeble, persay, but…vulnerable. Yet strong and confident. If Leia didn’t know any better, she’d say he looked almost kind.
But she did know better.
And as Palpatine spoke, the lack of Imperial presence, the strangeness of this place, the words Vader had spoken before her brother had vanished—everything came together at once, understanding dawning on Leia in an instant.
On the screen, Palpatine said, “With the Jedi behind us, we will defeat the Separatist Army once and for all, and bring peace to our Republic!”The crowd cheered, the applause ringing in Leia’s ears like a drumbeat.
Vader had sent them to the past.
