   Summary

   For a few seconds, he felt nothing but an unbearable pressure that seemed to be tearing him in two.

   Simon screamed. And screamed.
   And kept screaming until the air ran out of his lungs.

   The only thing he knew for certain, beyond his pain, was that whatever came out of him, whatever was devouring him, would no longer be his problem.

   He will be reunited with the person he loves most and who loved him. His mother will hold him, and he will no longer be afraid.

   There is music all around him; he hears notes he has never heard before and it is beautiful, so beautiful that he weeps; he has tears in his eyes. The song of Heaven sounds like redemption. If he deserves it.

   Please… he thought. God, I just want to go to her… Please, just… just let me… let me be with her.
