Summary
Still, it’s easier to believe you didn’t survive. That your friends are crying over your loss too. It's an outcome you could make peace with. Because if it's true then you won’t have to live in a world without him. Having to imagine that this next part is where you are supposed to figure out how to survive? Impossible. Not without him.
(aka: Set in the aftermath of season 4, in that final battle Steve sacrifices himself and dies. Leaving you behind to figure out how you're supposed to live in a world that he doesn't. The story will go through various points in your relationship with Steve. I did not use y/n so no need to worry about that. This is a fem!reader, and I do have two spots where Steve uses a little sweet nickname to refer to reader.)

Summary
Inspired by Taylor Swift's classic 'You are in Love'
Buck isn’t sure how love works, but he knows his love for Eddie feels deep. It’s almost like the more aware of it Buck is the easier it is to see all the ways he loves Eddie. The only sad thing about realizing you’re in love with your best friend is knowing that you can never tell them. Buck loves Eddie so much, but he’s not going to give this up. He’s not going to ruin this little family Eddie has let him step into. So, Buck tries to distance himself from the knowledge of how much he loves Eddie and tells himself that one day in the future he will get over this love. That Eddie will never have to know about this period in their friendship where all Buck could do was love him.
