Summary
Nagi had never been a coffee person. Mornings were a drag, instant coffee was bitter, and worst of all, he'd have to actually get out of bed to brew it. The kitchen counter was too far across the apartment, the water took a while to boil, and if he wasn't careful, he'd fall asleep again and wake up to a burning kettle. So much more of a hassle than simply not making coffee at all.
But when Chigiri drags him to a new café against his will, a purple-bunned barista catches his eye... And somehow seeing him made Nagi feel like he'd just drank twelve cups of the blackest coffee possible. Which was honestly kind of addicting.
...Maybe coffee isn't that bad.

Summary
If my roommate wanted to move out so badly, why wouldn’t he just tell me?
I got kind of upset finding out, only because I thought the two of us discussed everything together. If he had a problem with me, he could at least try to talk to me about it before deciding to move out entirely, right? Even if it’s just so he can move out and buy a house for his girlfriend or whatever, I guess—couldn’t he at least talk to me about it instead of going behind my back?
The next morning, I was still upset, and it was a rare weekend that my roommate didn’t go out. So I asked him about it, sort of, and kind of insinuated that if he wanted to leave so badly, he might as well do it sooner than later. I didn’t mean for it to be rude, but in retrospect, it might have been unfair, especially the part where I told him I’d help with packing up. But I think I have the right to be a little upset, at least, right? AITA?

Summary
“What the HELL is that,” Reo wheezes out. “Chigiri, what—what is that—”
Chigiri glances at his phone. “Oh,” he says blandly. “Yeah, didn’t I tell you they primarily make ship art?” He squints at Reo. “This isn’t the first time you’ve seen a ship account, why are you acting so—”
“They drew Nagi,” Reo shrieks, pointing an accusing finger at Chigiri’s phone, “shoving me into a wall—”
“It’s called a kabedon,” Chigiri says unhelpfully. Reo’s mouth flaps open and closed. Chigiri sighs. “Why are you so scandalized by this? I’ve seen you not even flinch at stuff way more scandalous than this.”
“Because it’s Nagi,” Reo stresses. “Give—give me the phone back—” He scrabbles for the phone in Chigiri’s hands, and once he’s got a hold of it, he brings it close to his face so that his nose nearly touches the screen. “And we’re kissing?”

Summary
“Are all your birthdays like this?” Nagi asks, and when Reo glances at him, he’s watching Reo with a curious expression.
“Yeah,” Reo admits, pulling his gaze away to squint at the few visible stars in the distance. “They’re not so much birthday celebrations as they are networking opportunities.”
Nagi hums. “Sounds like a pain.”
Reo snorts at that. “It is,” he agrees, “but I got used to it after a while.”
Nagi’s silent for a short pause. “You shouldn’t have to.”
“Oh?” Reo asks, turning back to Nagi with his eyebrows raised. When he sees the almost grim set to Nagi’s expression, he can’t help but laugh lightly. “Anyway, this year is different.”
“Different?”
“Yeah.” He nudges Nagi with his shoulder. “You’re here, after all.”

Summary
“Trust me, Nagi,” Reo murmurs, and in that moment, with Nagi’s eyes locked on his, it’s easy to pretend the two of them have this room, this world to themselves. “I’ll take you to a life more enthralling than any video game you’ve played.”
Nagi’s gaze doesn’t flinch or falter from Reo’s. “Then, promise me one thing, Reo.” Without breaking his stare, he tucks his phone in his pocket. “Stay with me until the end.”
Reo can’t help the laugh that slips out of him. There goes Nagi again, saying things Reo can’t possibly understand. “What?” he asks. “Is that your ego?”
“It’s a promise, Reo.”
“Yeah, Nagi,” Reo finally agrees. “It’s a promise.”
