Summary
More than two years after falling in love on the Normandy, Shepard and Kaidan are thrown together once again when the Reapers attack Earth. They both still care for each other, but there's stubborn old wounds and trust issues on both sides that are slow to heal. As Shepard tries to come to terms with her death and subsequent resurrection at the hands of Cerberus, Kaidan looks for assurances that Shepard is still the woman he fell in love with.
Set against the backdrop of the Reaper war, Kaidan and Shepard must both learn how to trust each other again as they navigate falling in love for a second time, all while saving the galaxy— also for a second time, because some things never change.
