But none of that mattered to Tanjirou, because all he could see was the lone man standing just in front of the tree.
He had long, golden hair which flowed like a river down his back and over his shoulder. It was tied up neatly into a tail with a white ribbon, and every other second when the breeze picked up, threads of gold flew in the wind. Wide eyes looked at him in surprise, and Tanjirou was distressed to realize that there were tears in them, pooling slowly at the bottom before dripping over pink cheeks. Full lips were spread open slightly in a surprised gape, and when Tanjirou blinked, he realized that the person he was staring at was a man who looked more beautiful than anyone else he had ever seen.
The man in question had his hand raised slightly, finger arched in a small curl, and resting on it was a white butterfly, and when Tanjirou glanced down at his waist, he almost gasped as he saw the shiny handle of a sword and a demon slayer uniform under a sunny yellow haori.
“Hello?” The man said.
Please marry me, Tanjirou wanted to say, but instead he said, “hello!”
