Summary
the stars had aligned to bring them back together, but starting over isn't always as easy as it looks. how do you even begin to move on, and apologize for seven thousand nights of heartbreak? this is how. they aren't perfect, but they're trying, and maybe that's enough.
This is pretty much just a post-canon (sometimes pre-canon) oneshot dump for the direct to VHS film Joseph:King of Dreams. Yes I'm aware literally nobody asked for this. But I have been absolutely taken with this story for a decade, and you'll see that I have many thoughts. I'm aware this won't all be Biblically accurate, but since Dreamworks took creative liberty for the story, so will I! Just know that I know.
(some of my creative liberties include forgetting about Joseph's children 99% of the time. not only do i think an upcoming famine is a horrible time to have kids, i think our guy needs a bit more healing b4 he can be a good dad. he gets em eventually. i promise i didnt forget them on purpose lmfao)
(i also ignore the hell out of the brothers' wives/children except for Asenath cuz i dont know much about them. they're there though. honestly im open to ideas!!)
