Summary
Napoleon keeps talking, and Illya knows he should be looking at the painting, but he can’t tear his eyes away from him. Napoleon’s face has lit up, his eyes bright, and Illya can’t help but remember that day in Vienna, where he had looked at Napoleon and thought: Oh. I suppose this is it, then.
Illya can remember dying in the street, ash and blood and Napoleon's name on his lips. But he doesn't die. Instead, he wakes up with Napoleon sitting next to his bed, holding his hand. It hasn't ended yet in the way they are both so afraid of, but that doesn't mean that living is easy. They are spies, and the game is never kind to them.
Illya blinks, and focuses on Napoleon. He doesn’t listen to what he is saying. He’s trying to memorise the lines of Napoleon’s face.
There are a thousand unspoken words between them, begging to be heard before they become just another regret on top of the many they've already accumulated over the years, but the game never stops, not even for love.

Summary
Art defines humanity, and humans never want to be alone, even if the only other person accompanying them is themselves staring back from their canvas.
The Cortauld Institute, London, is full of the brightest art students in the country. Still, they will take any distraction from the impending doom of finals that they can get. The new Modernism professor, Solo, is more than easy on the eyes, but what makes it even better is the elusive husband that none of them ever see. The only proof is the ring on Solo's finger, and the few stories they manage to get him to tell. It can only get more interesting from there.
Napoleon just wants a quiet life to enjoy his retirement from UNCLE, teaching art history at university and dabbling in a few heists on the side when Gaby sends them his way. There's been a wedding ring on his finger for years now, a matching one on Illya's, and all he wants to do is live out his life with the man he loves. But things are never as simple as that, and neither of them have been left unharmed by the games they had to play.
They never really leave the game. But there are worse things than to fade into obscurity, leaving only the art behind.

Summary
They got married and walked away into the sunset. No coffins, no funeral where people stand around in black wondering which one of them is going to be next. Just a happy ending.
It's rare, to walk away from the game like they have done. For it to end in any other way than facing down the barrel of a gun. They aren't meant to be playing anymore, but the stories are still there.
Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin. The perfect partnership. The story everyone knows. But stories take on their own life, and there is always someone listening.
We’ve all heard the stories. We all know what the two of you have managed to pull off together.
He believed that he could do the same, and it got him killed.

Summary
There are husbands, and then there are Husbands.
Anthony Bridgerton is a Husband.
At least that’s what Kate insists when she stumbles home from Lady Danbury’s latest soirée, slurring her words and smelling of sherry.
Apparently it’s a compliment.
