It hit Liam then, suddenly, and he snapped, pointing his finger at Theo. “The fruit snacks for the kids!” Theo gave Liam a startled look, his brows furrowing a little. “For the barbeque that Scott is holding? The kids that are his?” Theo hummed then smiled, turning around to look at Liam.
“You’re so cute, you know that?” Liam rolled his eyes but placed a kiss against Theo’s cheek, pulling away before he speed-walked his way to the aisle, his eyes trailing up and down both sides of the aisle.

The mirror cracks a little further as Theo shoves Gabe’s face back up against it, Gabe shrilling, “The other bodies!” immediately and without any trace of the bravado he’d been fronting before. Theo stiffens and twists to look at Liam, and Liam should really look back, should demand, what other bodies? but he’s too busy staring at the tendons flexing in the back of Theo’s hand, the bulk of his shoulder muscles moving underneath his shirt; the drip, drip of the blood splashing down onto the sink from Gabe’s face from the effortless, casually cruel way Theo is grinding his cheek into the splintering glass. Liam feels his breath hitch, his mouth go a little dry, and that’s when he looks up at Theo, because he can’t help it.
Theo’s eyes narrow. His nostrils flare.
