Summary
A semi-gritty Disco Mafia Murder story taking place in 1970s New York City. Zi (Rook) is a down on their luck thirty-something who seems to have lost everything they had in one really awful week. They decide to head to one of their old haunts - The Viper's Den - a discotheque to relieve some stress. Unfortunately, this night out throws them into a bigger web of problems involving several murders, an awkward hitman, and running from the law.

After the world is saved, Rook settles back into life in Dock Town. It's a good life, really. There's just one weird thing. She keeps seeing Crows following her around the city. Apparently, the new First Talon has put out a contract on her. Rook is mostly offended he's not bothering to do the job himself.

- As she started to move she felt a hand grab her arm. She turned to see Blackwall standing beside her, his bare hand on her elbow. With all the commotion of their arrival she didn’t even see him approach.
“Blackwall, I was just coming to-” Before she could utter the last of her words his other hand was cupping her cheek and he leaned in close, capturing her mouth with a deep kiss. She was already breathless from the hard ride and the passion she felt as he massaged her tongue with his left her practically dizzy.-
The Inquisitor has been out on the road too long and Blackwall has missed her desperately.
