I’ve survived the Red Room, the fall of the Widow program, and being dragged halfway across the world by Natasha Romanoff to rehabilitate. Now I’m stuck in a compound full of superheroes who keep smiling at me like I’m a skittish cat. Except Sam but he's more sass than sense.
I could survive it - waiting a lifetime to be trusted and accepted, to live a life I'd dreamed of when I was locked up - if it weren't for Barnes. 6 foot something of pure resistance and hatred.
He’s brooding. He's arrogant. He's like a suit of armour come to life with the personality of the air inside it. He won't get under my skin. If it's the last thing I do, he won't get to me.
