A boy in his kitchen, shoved up against the cabinets, a handful of two day old muffins being squished beyond repair in his hands, the soft bread oozing out from between his fingers. A tiny, frail thing of a boy, somewhere in between eight and double digits, who took one look at Tony and leapt across the counters, towards the back door.

Summary
4 year old Peter Parker was going out to dinner with his Aunt and Uncle. On the way back, Peter gets lost and wanders around looking for them. When he can’t find them, he starts to cry but is approached by the men who were at the restaurant earlier. He was warned by Uncle Ben not to mess with these people, so he gets scared but then one on them, a man with a goatee, crouches down and learns Peter is lost. With the help of the men, Peter is able to find his aunt and uncle, and gain some new friends along the way.

“Who the hell are you?”
The breathless question is the first thing that flies out of Tony’s mouth as he looks over at the kid, flabbergasted.
The teenager is knelt there on the ground beside him, curls mussed and soot powdering his pale face. He visibly gulps down a knot in his throat, almost like he’s wishing he’s anyone but who he actually is.
“Um… I’m Peter.” Finally, the boy gets to finish the introduction that was so rudely interrupted earlier. “Peter Parker.”
Tony lifts his eyebrows and dips his head in a slow nod, never breaking the eye contact. “You’re my son?”
“I… guess so?”
—When Maya Hansen shows up at Tony’s mansion over a decade since they last met, she isn’t exactly lying about that thirteen-year-old kid in the car.
