Summary
It's the same story no matter what they became; so close, practically inseparable, and yet, it'll always get to his head. Mark was the former vocalist and bassist for Gabriel's freshest band, but it's no surprise they needed a replacement after he left. Mark thought all would be said and done after he put his foot down, but here's Edega, trying his hardest to hold out after everything that went down between them.
"Artistic differences," as he would call it. But there was nothing tasteful about the constant ambitions Edega had that threatened to overwhelm Booker at every turn they took together in this industry. Just painful indifference with every endeavor Mark had followed Gabriel into until now. Until Mark had his own things going on, his own musical independence.

Summary
No matter how many times Mark Booker read and studied the lines in the novel of Gabriel Edega's life, he still found a way to be surprised. No matter how many times you read a story, its contents remain the same; what the words mean to you, and how they make you feel–those thoughts are ever changing. Their past tormented the both of them, but if they tried hard enough, they could piece back together the pieces of the dreams they once shared together, and work towards a brighter future.
