If there was one thing Julia had learned about Yuriy Ivanov during the tournament, it was that he was ridiculously good at conveying the message through his eyes and not his voice. The way those two ice shards could express disgust, boredom, annoyance and anger was unrivalled.
And yet, while she could indeed find the traditional disgust in his cold glare toward Miguel, she noticed something different when those same eyes moved on to her and scanned her body from the top of her head down to her legs. She felt his gaze on her skin almost physically, and a shiver ran down her spine. Their eyes met for a second and she couldn’t find any disgust or boredom in his stare.
On the contrary, Yuriy’s eyes were glowing. Glowing with what, she still wasn’t quite sure. -
