It’s been a month since Dick came back from Spyral, and sometimes he wishes he was still there. He can't eat, and he can’t sleep, but the worst part of all is the empty, hollow feeling in his chest that eats away at him minute by minute by hour by day. He makes sure his apartment is clean enough when Damian visits every other weekend, and the rest of the time he curls up in bed, hugging himself around the middle as if it was any kind of replacement for pack.

He knows how this ends - the hands holding him down will tear at his suit, exposing his nakedness to the night air. He will say “don’t” and she will keep going anyway, sating herself with his body as if it belongs to her. Maybe it does.
