Based off my one shot, Waiting Game, and taking place long before it. Haven't read Waiting Game? That's perfectly okay! We're starting from the very beginning here. Reader is young, living on their own with their sorta dream job, life couldn't be better. Right? When life throws you a curveball or two, or four, sometimes you learn tackling it headfirst isn't always the best course.
Ugh baseball metaphors, who even uses those anymore? When life effs you over sometimes you gotta change position and enjoy it? Gawd, that's even worse. When life gives you lemons, best to grab the tequila and salt. Eh, better. Uh, something about silver lining clouds and after school special heartfelt messages. Meh. Life sucks and then you die. No!
This is about Reader and their Bitties and how their vastly different, nonsensical lives found common ground and intertwined into some archaic, hellpath called life. And made it work.

“I don’t think I like heroes very much.” Deku stares at his knees with two fingers pinching the bridge of his nose to stymie the flow of blood from the broken cartilage. Red coats the space between his philtrum and chin, thick over the grim set of his mouth. It drips onto his clothes, soaking into the white of his shirt and disappearing into the olive of his ripped pants. He angles tired green eyes up at where Katsuki looms over him and smiles without mirth. “Wunna know why?”
