Ever since the back half of her childhood, Branch had felt nothing but out of place. It seemed as if she never truly fit in anywhere. She was always looked down on, whether it be for her questionable mannerisms, or her off-putting gray color. Sometimes, it was as if she didn’t even exist to the other villagers. She wasn’t even shameful to admit that sometimes, she imagined the village without her even being apart of it. After all, she appreciated her privacy. It wasn’t like she had anyone to look up to anymore. Anyone she tried to admire always had to leave her. She spent her nights alone as a young child, thinking of how other kids might feel with loving families.
Her life destroyed her. She could never fall into anyone else’s arms. Never again. Not even when one person seemed to care about her more than the others.
