    The story of Belle and the Beast has only ever been told by the two heroes of the story: Belle and the Beast. Their story explains that the curse was lifted, that the Beast is now finally free to be Adam again.
    Gaston, turned into a monster, knows the truth. The curse was never lifted, only passed on. Only Gaston has no castle to live in, no servants to keep him company. Instead he is chased by the very people who had fought by his side just before, hunted out of the town and through the forest.
    He survives, barely, though this his victory seems to be short lived. But even though Gaston does his best to die, someone finds him and is determined to give him back his life.
