Summary
🔔 Someone is at your front door.
The video loads in and Eddie is instantly greeted by nostrils.
The camera lens makes for a very tragic fish eye view, especially if you’ve got your face right up in the thing, which is what the man at Eddie’s front door is doing at the moment.
“Open up,” the man whines, “I know you’re in there.”
Or, finding love through the Ring camera.

Summary
Eddie’s first shift at his new job is fine.
“That could be my future husband out there,” has been echoing in Eddie’s brain since the moment he stepped into the building at four o’clock to punch in for his shift. He was absurdly giddy about it the entire drive, daydreaming about working side by side with Buck, brushing elbows, having him look over his shoulder while he figured out the computer system. Real intimate stuff.
“Do you like gummy worms?” Christopher asks someone.
“I do,” the voice answers, “But I actually like gummy sharks more, have you had those?”
“They make sharks?”
Or, Eddie has a new job and misses his future husband.

Summary
“He’s so hot. You have to hire him. Please hire him. Please, please, please.”
Now Eddie really can’t bring himself to stop eavesdropping.
“I’m not hiring the guy just because you think he’s hot, Buckley.”
Shit, maybe he didn’t do as well in that interview as he thought.
“But not– not just me!” Buckley continues, “Think of the customers! Think of how much he’ll make in sales just with that face. I know I would keep ordering drinks if it meant I could keep staring at that.”
Or, Eddie gets a job and a future husband.

Summary
“Buck?” Ravi asks, leaning in closer.
“Yeah?” Buck, the human man, replies.
“No, Buck,” Hen grabs the photo from Chim’s hand and holds it out for everyone to see.
Buck, the 1.5x2” passport photo from 2019, stares back at them.
“Oh damn.”
Eddie smiles, he’s glad Buck isn’t too freaked out by it.
(Buck is freaking out. The only people who have seen this photo, to his knowledge, are the post office employee that took it, and whatever person who approved it in the Department of State. Not even a TSA agent. He hasn’t gotten the chance to use it.)
Or, Eddie breaks his phone, reveals the photo he's kept of Buck inside the case for years, and suddenly everyone starts giving him their own photos. Buck is only a little bothered by it.

Summary
Eddie drops the hand pulling at the skin of his face and lets his eyes catch the letter again, lingering on the stance written for him. The cursive Buck haunts him, the delicate way his abuela wrote his name with Eddie’s.
She had prayed for him. She had prayed for him and Buck.
She had wanted him to find the happiness he sought in Buck—his best friend.
She knew before he did.
Mi niño, you were looking in the wrong place.
OR: When cleaning out her house, Eddie finds a prayer his abuela left for him.
