That finally made Zoro look up, his face slick with sweat – and tears? Surely not – his gaze intense as he searched Sanji’s face, the look in his eye desperate and unsure. At last he swallowed and nodded again, reaching up to cup the blonde’s jaw once more, “No, I won’t. But just in case, I’m trusting you not to let me.”
And that was easy to promise, Sanji nodding back as he leaned in that last bit, kissing the idiot. His lips were still soft, his teeth too sharp, and for a moment they went slowly, tasting each other, the aching need between them almost sweet, almost real.

Shaun had assumed love was a grandiose, dramatic thing, like a meteor or a revelation, ending the world. But falling in love - much like Desmond himself - was not, per se, in the dramatic heroics and the saving the world and the noble heroism. It was instead in morning coffees - in barbs that eventually turned good-natured - in the way Desmond listened to him.

Vaas doesn’t even pause. He speaks around his joint and the way the smoke curls around his face, tinged purple in the light, makes Jason suddenly want. It hits him out of nowhere. He doesn’t know what to do about it. He really needs that weed.
Jason reaches out with his free arm. “Give me a hit.”
That gets Vaas to stop. Tension rises as Vaas gets up and stalks closer. “I’m sorry, who left you in charge? Who the fuck do you think you are, making fucking demands?” He squats just outside of Jason’s reach. His voice is quiet but every part of his body is poised, anger always lurking just below the surface.

Like so many other Friday nights, it starts with the two of them sitting on a rooftop, legs dangling over the edge, looking down on the city—Aizawa Shōta and Yamada Hizashi, known by their hero names as Eraserhead and Present Mic, out on patrol, waiting for something to happen. It’s been four years since their U.A. graduation and they’ve been kicking around Tōkyō trying to figure out their lives, trying to make enough money to get ahead in the world. So they take down a group of villains without too much trouble, nothing more than a few minor injuries, nothing out of the ordinary. It should be an easy paycheck. It’s not until they get back to Aizawa’s apartment that they realise there’s something wrong.
When they said they were waiting for something to happen, they didn’t mean this.

Hizashi is all too aware that they’re polar opposites, Shouta being the calm to his storm, the quiet to his loud exuberance. Shouta, who’s at his most content curled up on the couch in their shared living room, or anywhere, really, napping or idly playing with their two cats while Hizashi’s busy going through his ever-growing music library, bothering Shouta for his opinion before adding the songs that have gained his friend’s grudging approval to whatever new playlist that he’s working on.
No matter how hard he tries, he can’t leave him alone and, miraculously, Shouta’s been tolerating him for fifteen years.
He hopes to God that it hasn’t become an obligation.

“Get up,” Hizashi finally breaks the absolute silence that had settled over the bedroom in the aftermath of Shouta’s harsh outburst and it’s not a request. It’s an order.
For a moment, Shouta just stares, considers demanding an explanation but the look that Hizashi shoots him makes clear that his partner is in no mood for Shouta to put up a fuss. There’s a storm brewing in Hizashi’s eyes, a mixture of incredulity, determination and, strangely, heartbreak.
Warily, he drags himself off the bed. He winces at the sensation of a few drops of lube drizzling down his inner thigh as he struggles to his feet and follows Hizashi to the other side of the room.
“Down on your knees, in front of the mirror.”
