Summary
They had offered him freedom. Power. He never wanted any of that. Then they'd told him they could save his friends. That all he needed to do was join them, and his friends would be safe. They were liars.
Xelqua has been with the watchers for centuries. His power should have far exceeded even the high-ranked watchers. Yet he could never defeat them. Because they'd chained him. Bound him to this place, this hell. So even if he escaped, he'd forever be one of them. Even as the Third Watcher, the one designated to watch The Overworld, in front of them, he was weak.
Until he wasn't. Until he found someone that could help him. After centuries of being all alone, surrounded by monsters, he found someone like him.
Sadly, the universe won't give him good things.
And now he was alone again.

Edit: I changed all my plans for this story because my original idea was getting overwhelming and gave me writers block. I'm also probably going to make this fic shorter. If you were excited for the original story, I'm sorry. I'm still very new to writing so I wanted to do something a bit easier.
