    Summary

Eijun isn’t feeling like himself. Ever since he hit Shirakawa’s helmet in the match against Inashiro, his mental health has just kept spiraling down. Something isn’t right, and he can’t figure out what. His own mind and thoughts are like an enemy, the team feel far away and the support is nowhere to be seen.

During practice one day, he can’t keep up with his panicked thoughts and collapses.
It’s not only the yips fighting him, it’s also his, apparently, second nature. He can’t tell the team, can’t be of any bigger burden than he already is.

The worst part is that he needs help, and he don’t feel like he can ask anyone for it, or trust in the kindness that is shown.

    Heads up!
This fic will follow the yips arc, from episode 70 in the anime and forward. The story will weave itself into the Canon universe, giving it a new dimension and leaving a lot of scenes and dialogs intact.

    PLEASE DO NOT REPOST!!

I don't own any of the characters in this story, they all belong to Terajima Yuuji the author of Diamond No Ace.

This story is about how Sawamura Eijun dies and gets reincarnated to have a second chance at life. This time around he wants to make sure he is more reliable so that his team can depend on him, as he is not sure if he should strive for the ace number or just the hope to bring the third years and the rest of the team to koshien.

This is my first time writing anything and posting it, so i would really like some constructive criticism and opinions overall of the story's flow.

    Summary

"I want him to acknowledge me. I'm going to make him acknowledge me. I won't waste even one pitch, one second."

This isn't the first time Sawamura Eijun has chased after Miyuki Kazuya.

Sometimes, it feels like it's all he's ever done.

But he can no more ignore the pull of Miyuki Kazuya than the Earth can ignore the pull of the Sun. It's intrinsic, instinctive, as natural and unstoppable a force as gravity.

And he knows Miyuki feels it, too.

How could he not? They're the most-intricately linked Soulmates in history, after all. While others only experience the tell-tale golden shimmer of a soulmark, perhaps a gentle tingling sensation when their soulmate is especially hurt, Eijun and Kazuya are different.

    They steal each other's pain.
