Always, just as a roundtable knight should be. But Lancelot always tried to keep his outside demeanor nothing more than cordial and respectful.

It's Sonic's birthday! Shadow and him have been dating for a while, and Sonic is ready to take it to the next level, but he is not ready to ask for it. Shadow is mostly oblivious to Sonic's dilemma and thinks the other just wants to go out a date before he has to head off to the party is friends are holding. He will find out just how wrong he was.

Summary
They’re in the middle of nowhere, grassy fields as far as the eye can see, so Sonic pulls the other hedgehog down to sit. It’s more comfortable like this, he thinks.
Shadow’s hands on his waist slowly pull him in closer until their knees are touching. He breaks the kiss to speak.
“I want you closer than this.” He says softly, unsure how to get what he wants.
