Summary
Usually Lalo didn’t care for quibbles about guilt and innocence. Some cabrónes get all caught up in moral codes; helps them rationalize their kills. Not him. He only cared about two things: his family, and himself. But at some point last night, he didn’t know when exactly, the familiar feeling of possessiveness gathered at his chest like a rash. Only this time, it was toward her—a stranger. The enemy, even. A confused young girl. His soon-to-be wife. He knew instinctively she was not to be touched, not to be harassed by any of those motherfuckers. Not when she belonged to him.
(Wherein you're Gustavo Fring's niece, kidnapped for an arranged marriage to Lalo Salamanca).

Summary
“Do you know the difference between Alina Starkova and myself, General?” I asked quietly.
Molten eyes held mine for a second before I pulled away. Dried blood crusted beneath my fingertips, clinging to my dirtied skin. How much of it was my own? How much of it was hers?
“Alina is a good person.”
---
Anastasia “Poppy” Belinskaya knows Alina Starkova well, enough to realize that she isn't the Sun Summoner. Alina isn't even Grisha, despite what the Darkling may believe.Poppy would know; she is the one that framed her, after all.

Summary
A lot of people said a lot of things about Lalo Salamanca over the years, good and bad. These comments didn't really matter to him. He never wondered on if his neurons were connected properly or not, in his world it didn't matter. Some called him a psychopath, others say he's a good guy born into the wrong family. They also debated on if he actually felt things or not, which he would respond: of course he does. Lalo Salamanca had only loved three things in his life: his family, himself, and his 1970 Monte Carlo.
That was until he he met Dr. Tala Velasco.
It wasn't till her that Lalo realized he had never loved anything, or anyone, like he would love her.
