Summary
The house has always been a little empty, a little too big for just the two of them. Touko had settled with the fact, and had moved on, mostly. She'd tend to her garden, take in any injured animal. But Shigeru knew, the two of them were longing for one more to fill in that empty space.
And finally, Shigeru finds his sun, his son, in a distant city with almost strangers, and the shadow of a boy sitting in the corner of the garden.

Summary
Natsume, Kitamoto, and Nishimura go on a fishing trip into the mountains. Natsume can't help these flashes that remind him of his past. He really can't, he's trying, but they come back biting and it's going to push them away, push everything he's ever loved away. Or at least, that's what he thinks. But it's okay, because Nishimura and Kitamoto are both here. They're here, and they're staying. And they will always stay by his side, and they always love him, and they'll keep him safe.
Oneshot for the "Rainbows Only His Eyes Can See" series. Set just a tad after Natsume is taken in by the Fujiwaras and meets the Nishimura and Kitamoto. Preferably read after "This Is Home" as they are set in the same universe. But doesn't have to be. Nishimura and Kitamoto are ready to throw hands with anything that scares Natsume; Touko is the perfect mother, as always.

Summary
Natsume Takashi has never really had a place where he could settle down and call home, but that was before the Fujiwaras came along and bundled him away to a little town called Yatsuhara.
A ficlet about Natsume first moving in with the Fujiwaras and learning to break the habits that he's built over the years from constantly terrible relatives. Also, the Natsume Protection Squad develops instantly the moment Natsume walks into class. It just happens. That's it, there's no going back, the class just adopts him and Nishimura will fight anyone and everyone that will hurt Natsume.

Summary
Natsume is glittering gold in the right places, with the right people. He shimmers like the crystals in the air and starlight on his lashes. He slots in, perfect, like he was made to be with them, these friends, this family. They choose him. Want him. Love him.
Kitamoto is a burning ruby fire, red glimmering to share his warmth and care. Nishimura is a soothing jade, a forest of flickering symphonies both loud, yet gentle and full of joy. Touko is a blooming rose quartz, calming, loving, shining bright with motherly love. Shigeru is a shield of obsidian, protective, keeping harm away from him, their son. Their sun, of glittering gold and stars and brilliant like daybreak over the horizon.
They make rainbows only Natsume can see.
