A One Life to Live fanfiction from after Dorian moved to Washington, DC.
Although most of my OLTL follows the 1990s canon timeline, I don't include some of the unrealistic, sillier storylines from the 2000s and later, especially the bit about Victor Senior coming back from the grave.
In this story, Dorian Cramer Lord lives in Washington, DC and has been undergoing counseling for a few months to help her cope with post-traumatic stress and anxiety attacks.
She discovers something startling about herself in therapy that devastates her at first, but grows to understand that this trait she has does not have to be a disability for her...enjoy!

Tears often come very easily for the raw, emotional Claudius in addition to struggling with disabilities in an ancient world that mocks and rejects the highly sensitive and those with disabilities.

Richard and his daughter Mary Anne were already seated in the Stoneybrook High School auditorium when Maureen and Stacey arrived for Parent-Teacher Orientation. Stacey and several of her friends suggested that she trade seats to sit beside Richard. Apparently her interest was more obvious than she'd thought; after all, she and Richard had been joining each other for lunch for nearly a year, and he hadn't noticed. And yet he seemed to enjoy their lunches, and he seemed interested. Perhaps she ought to find a way to let him know - and to find out if he was interested in sharing, perhaps, something more than lunches.
Richard, meanwhile, knew he had responsibilities. His daughter would be entering high school soon, and he knew he ought to set a good example for her. He certainly shouldn't shirk any of his responsibliities! But if he invited Maureen and her daughter to dinner, he might, if they accepted, have the opportunity to spend time together, socially, with Maureen - while also allowing the girls time together - and allowing Maureen - a confident, outgoing woman to spend some time with Mary Anne as a ... role model.
