Summary
A self-assured yet slightly nervous smile spread across Junmyeon’s lips as he stepped into the elevator, nestling himself amongst the already substantial crowd of daily commuters. He didn’t recognise any of the people around him, the constantly revolving cast of maintenance and administrative staff just one of many things that had changed since he’d last been at the building, the upcoming task of introducing himself to a whole new host of people feeling a little daunting. Nonetheless, as was to be expected, many of the unfamiliar faces recognised him, and made sure to congratulate him on his discharge as more people shuffled their way into the elevator. He kept it brief, thanking them for their thoughtful comments before looking back off into space, trying his best to maintain his composure and not let either of the extremes overtake his emotions. As people stopped pouring into the elevator, over half of the buttons pressed and illuminated, the doors crawled closed with a loud clunk, pausing for a moment before finally starting to ascend.
