“Ladder 118, we are rerouting you to provide medical assistance and support with engine 136 to ladder 136. Please approach the area with extreme caution and stay behind the police barricade until cleared by the incident commander. A bomb was placed under ladder 136. Unknown injuries at this time. Will update as soon as we learn more.”
“Copy that dispatch. Ladder 118 responding.”
Eddie barely heard the rest of what dispatch and Bobby were saying. As soon as he heard ladder 136, his vision was tunneling and all he could hear was ringing in his ears.
Buck alternated between ladder and engine.
He didn’t even know which one he was on today.
He prays that today Buck was riding engine.
He had to be riding engine today.
