“I wanted to inquire a solicitation of your services.”
“Services?” he echoed, sounding bemused.
She headed back into the box, crossing her arms. “Yes. I need something done, but the only way to accomplish it, I believe, would be by otherworldly means.”
“I am a spirit, not a djinn in a lamp,” he retorted with evident ire.

Summary
Christine thrust out her hand, and the glimmer of a simple gold band shone plainly on her ring finger. “He says I have to marry him!” she eked out like it was the greatest tragedy.

Summary
Before he could get too far, Meg without thinking, called out to him:
“Monsieur! Surely you want to dance like everybody else?”
The man stopped dead in his tracks and turned to look at her over his shoulder. There were two heart pounding moments where he appeared to consider.
-
Or: Meg wants to label sense to the dichotomy of the Opera Ghost. Erik is getting over heartbreak and still dreaming of normalcy. Love and lust weave their story, but it’ll take breaking down barriers to truly bring them together.
