She wants them.
She wants Mira and Zoey so badly, in whatever way, shape, or form that comes in.
For once in her life, Rumi wants to be selfish.
Or: HUNTR/X works towards sealing the Honmoon and falls in love along the way. Pre-reveal Rumi, hiding both her patterns and her wants, loves her girls in whatever way she can until she's free (whether that means shielding Mira and Zoey in fights or pretending to be something she's not). She just has to hold out until the Honmoon’s golden. Straightforward enough, right?
[Learned there's nothing stopping me from using my own popular fic for evil (aka, advertising other fics and authors I'm obsessed with). The woman standing in front of her had a sharp jawline, gleaming bright-pink hair that caught the club lights like it had been designed for them. She stood tall with a confident lean in her posture—shoulders loose and eyes bright with mischief.

Mira decides that since Zoey is gone, she is going to push Rumi's buttons, and brat so hard that Rumi has no choice but to put her in her place. (Run on sentence??)

Rumi’s hand slides up her neck and finds her hair, pulling her back once again. “You aren’t getting away with it that easily.” Her voice is low and commanding.“Ahh,” Mira lets out a surprised gasp, a shiver running through her whole body as Rumi's eyes lock onto hers. Her usual soft gaze has been replaced by an intensity that is reserved only for Mira and Zoey. A smirk crosses Mira’s face as she pulls on Rumi's tie. “What are you going to do about it, princess?” The hand in her hair tightens, drawing out another small gasp.
Rumi pulls Mira by the hair, quickly leading her to the bedroom. “I am going to finally teach you how to behave like a good girl.”

Never Have I Ever Chapter 3
Through her gasps and moans, Mira manages to choke out, "Zoey… please, no! You're… going to… break me in front of Rumi."
"No, I'm going to break you for Rumi." Zoey laughs

Rumi brushes Mira's hair out of her face, her fingers coming to rest on the collar.
"Zo, I want one." She feels an ache of longing in her chest.
"One what? A collar?"
Rumi nods. "I want you to do what you just did to her, to me. I want to give myself to you. Both of you."

The girls have been dating for years, but Rumi's fear of her patterns being discovered forced her to deny herself any kind of sex life with them. Once they know about her patterns, there's nothing getting in the way of their tension anymore.
Zoey and Mira introduce her to their bondage and dom/sub dynamic and Rumi asks to be collared as well. It’s hot imo
