“When was the last time you’ve had blood drawn?” he asked suddenly.
You swallowed and looked up from your meal.
“Um…huh?” You sputter.
“I said, ‘when was the last time you’ve had blood drawn?’” You twirled your fork in your food, winding up pasta as you tried to remember.
“I think…three years ago? Why?”
“...You should really have it tested at least once every two years,” Medkit said. You hummed in mindless agreement and stabbed a shrimp. You desperately tried to think of a way to change the subject; you knew where this would go if you didn’t.
“You, uh, like the food?” you ask, trying to keep a casual tone. Medkit let out a quiet scoff.
“Don’t change the subject. I’m drawing your blood tomorrow morning."
