Wei Ying is saved from the jaws of hungry dogs by a strange man, or rather a ghost in red.
His "red" Gege takes care of him. He's happy but their time together doesn't last very long and he soon finds himself living with the Jiangs. Life goes on well enough untill it doesn't, falling apart at the seems and even as this happens, in his last moments, with the guilt of the cultivation and world and his family on his shoulders he simply wishes to see his Hua Gege once more.

Summary
Maybe he shouldn't have kidnapped a random kid of the street and given him a family, but what was he supposed to do when big, tearful, silver eyes stared at him in awe. Xie Lian saw himself in the small child and decided he had to help the common people once again. But as heavenly emperor, does that make his new son a prince of both the heavens and the ghost realm. He finally realised his new son was going to be an important piece in clearing all animosity throughout the three realms. He could already predict the pressure his son was going to go through but at least he'll have Hua Cheng and Xie Lian to back him when all others see and use him as their scapegoat and easy ticket into Godhood.
