Summary
Jiang Cheng had been infatuated, then later in love with Lan Xichen when he agreed to an arranged marriage with him. Then a few truths came out and he realized that a one-sided marriage was nothing but a prison sentence that he blindly served for so many years.
Despite their rocky marriage, Lan Xichen believed that they could work it out. He thought that they had time- a lifetime worth- to build a happy life together that he thought they both dreamed of.
