Summary
In a world where soulmates are identified only once a year, babies are given white tunics imbued with magic. The meeting of one's soulmate is signified by a magical change of the tunic's color from white to colors that signify their soulmate. When a soulmate dies, the vibrant color of their clothing darkens to a pitch black. Soulmate Day is typically seen as a celebration, except for some it's only a bitter reminder of what they've lost.
