    Summary

You can’t deny the creature is real anymore.

You try to run, but he grabs your arm and pulls you back toward him. You struggle uselessly against his firm grip. He’s at least two feet taller than you, with an arsenal of deadly weapons—claws that could shred your skin, hooves that could trample you, teeth that could rip your throat open.

You stop struggling, your words tumbling out, high-pitched and frantic. “Please don’t kill me.”

He lets go of you but stays close. “I can’t kill the one I’m bound to.”

    ----

You accidentally release a trapped demon, and now he's bound to serve you. Neither of you are happy about it.

    Summary

“You can’t stop thinking about it,” she accuses. (As if she’s any better.). “Every time you see my face–”

“I wish you’d stop talking.” Mae doesn’t know whether he’s finishing her sentence or making his own statement. He grabs her shoulders and walks her backward, and she lets him, right until she bumps into the workbench where he and Olric throw their extra forging items. Coal and miscellaneous metal pieces scatter around their feet as he sweeps them onto the ground before propping her up.

Then he drops to his knees, and the word worship comes to her mind.

The farmer wonders who wins in a game of living in the other's head rent free.

    Being currently Rewritten ❤️

Pelican town was named for the cries of the birds, that landed on the pier long ago.

Those birds left now, gone their gray and white feathered bodies, the only cries that sweep through the town human made.
Willy stays in his hut, fishing from sun up to sun down, his broken body and broken ship the only things keeping him company.

The ale warms his old bones, but when the gray sun shows its face again it leaves him cold and alone.

    Nighthawk.
His pappy's favorite fish, something so elusive it was said the only times it showed its face was in the times it was so silent in the world it showed its shiny head.

Willy smoked his pipe as he sat on the pier.

    Summary

Until the day Sokka died, he knew he'd remember the cool gaze of the leopard-caribou as she looked upon him in his bank of snow. It hadn't been a malicious look, just a calculating one. She needed a meal, and she cared no more whether or not he was afraid than he’d cared whether the seal his father brought back from the beach in spring had felt fear before it died.

The stranger in the water had eyes like that now.

Sokka finds himself shipwrecked, stranded with no way home. When an impossible predator shows up to take advantage of an easy meal, Sokka must use all his wits to keep him distracted... and survive long enough to get back home for his sister's wedding.

    Summary

You always quite liked car rides.
Hands folded neatly in your lap, seatbelt resting comfortably on your shoulder as you watched the trees go by. On some occasions, you found it endlessly dull and mundane, but it was times like these that you found a kind of peace within the passing trees. The highway you were currently on was small and dim, the road was hardly smooth, but you didn’t care.
It's only when a portal not unlike the ones from your favorite video game appears in the middle of the road did you care.
Now, lying on the cold, hard concrete floor of the office of one of the most feared Harbingers, you have to figure out how to simultaneously communicate Tevyatian and English languages and how to either woo or escape from Scaramouche.
