Summary
One goal laid at the forefront of Clover’s mind when he traveled into Mt. Ebott: to find out what happened to the five missing children… and to bring the perpetrator to justice.
But then Clover befriends a tiny flying monster, and discovers that it would be his words and actions, and not the barrel of a gun, that would set him on the right path. Suddenly he has friends- friends who’ll stick by his side, even when it puts their own lives in danger.
And danger lies in every corner. Throughout it all, Clover struggles to keep his new friends together. Personalities conflict. Ideals differ. Past and present problems struggle to find resolutions.
In the end, it is not from without where the greatest threat to Clover and his friends lies, but from within.
Yet, despite everything, his friends stick by his side. And if they won't give up, then Clover can't, either. With the help of his newfound friends, and with his very soul shining bright with purpose and resolve, Clover knows he can find the answer that lies beneath the mountain…
…wherever it may be.

It's important not to mistake a fools errand for a fairy tale. Reality sends optimists to an early grave, but Clover isn't happy, he's just persistent. After all, he doesn't matter in the slightest. As much as he wished that someone... anyone would care for him, helping those he can is the only way his life gains meaning, and if death grants that same satisfaction? So be it.Ceroba has been planning this moment, she knows what she has to do. Absolution is within reach, KANAKO is within reach... But in the end, will she stop herself from repeating past mistakes, or will she follow through?
This is my first time writing literally anything lmao, I'm editing and posting stuff semi-consistently. If u take some time to read this, thank you!

Summary
After leaving Clover with Asgore, Martlet realizes she can't let Clover throw away his life. She confronts the king, quickly spiriting the child away to keep him safe.
After finding a home in the Dunes, the two begin to form a bond, and a parental situation born out of casually committing treason becomes a very comfortable one. However, Clover is in trouble as soon as he arrives. Starlo's depression over Ceroba's murder causes him to be no help when Undyne prepares to take Clover's soul... And she refuses to give up until Clover is dead. On top of all that, Flowey manipulates everything behind the scenes, keeping Clover on the path back to the castle... Where he's sure to be killed.
Thrown into an unfamiliar situation once again, Martlet has to learn responsibility, how to protect... And how to be a good parent.
