    “They’re in the wash, thank you very much,” Peter sighed, dropping his bag and plopping unceremoniously into his seat, Ned sliding in directly next to him and MJ at a separate desk on his right. He was slightly offended that Marcus thought his t-shirts were stupid. “Also, they’ve now been officially restricted to lab-only clothing. Look out, Midtown High, here comes the new and improved Peter Parker!”

    The jazz hands did not sell it.

    Post no way home, Peter is struggling. He's alone, no one remembers him and life is hard. All he has is Spiderman.

    Until he sees on the news that Tony Stark has woken up from his coma, caused when he snapped. He watches from afar, determined not to get involved, because when he does, he messes things up for everyone.

    Image his surprise when someone comes knocking on his door. (After a series of "Peter why are people acting like they don't know you?" texts from a number he never had the heart to delete.)
