Summary
Something happened in the Great Hall during Christmas in 1976. James Potter sat depressed, thinking about Lily, who had gone back to her parents' house for the holiday instead of staying at Hogwarts with him.
His friends rolled their eyes at his moping. Just as Sirius was about to say something to cheer him up, the magic in the air shifted. Everyone felt their hair stand on end as a bright light filled the hall. The students who had stayed behind for Christmas panicked, while the professors tried to calm them down.
When the light faded, silence followed. The students looked around in confusion.
Peter panicked when he couldn’t find his friends. “James? Sirius? Remus?!”
In another space and time, a similar event was occurring. A bright glow descended into an empty space.
“Ouch,” James groaned as his vision cleared. He looked around, confused, until his eyes widened in surprise. “Mum? Dad?”
Fleamont and Euphemia Potter, equally confused, stared back at him.
