I am treating canon like the guy on youtube who takes LEGO sets and makes millenium flacons out of the pieces regardless of the original designer's intention. Aggressive non-compliance with just enough deniable plausability to seem legit on a surface level. (Aww man, what happened to my scenes of devastating war? Jedi Order as family is what happened.
