“What were you looking to say with this?” Xie Lian asked, casually flicking through the documents.“I beg your pardon?”
“Legislation is language, after all. Specifically, the esoteric language of those in power to those they are supposed to protect. So would you please tell the court what you are saying to the common people with this.” He dropped the packet on the witness stand, “And how is that message reflected here? Please be specific, if you will.” Xie Lian pinned him in place with a burning stare, a predatory fake smile. Not plastic, but steel. Mirror-polished and reflecting back every limp nerve in the staffer’s slackened face.
“I’ll make it even easier for you. Simply explain this legislation to me in such terms that even a child would understand its benefit." He folded his arms, "I'll wait."
Xie Lian, a disbarred district attorney, now an overworked legal aide, gets himself into deeper trouble with each client he helps. After being offered reinstatement, then landing in the hospital, he finds himself paired with a strikingly-attractive and oddly-dedicated bodyguard.

Hua Cheng didn’t answer. The wolfish face grinned, as much as a wolf could grin. Xie Lian’s eyes bulged. Was he really going to do this? Was…was this even possible? Was this…crossing some line of deviancy? After all, Hua Cheng was some…kind of animal, right? A crime under any civilized code. Then again, this was also his husband. His husband, in a rattled and unwell mental state. He couldn’t quite well be reasoned with. At least, not anymore than he could have been reasoned with during his own heat.

And…why was the idea of doing it so incredibly stimulating?With Xie Lian's vicious and vulnerable heat over, Hua Cheng is no longer able to restrain the urge of his rut. However, Hua Cheng starts to second-guess putting Xie Lian through everything a second time and spirals through his own insecurities until it results in some...interesting manifestations.

Xie Lian threw a chair at his head.
Ever since the flower Yao attack, Xie Lian's heat cycle is abnormal. Hua Cheng is desperate to prove he can be relied on and Xie Lian is terrified of destroying paradise manor and anyone in his way. Will Hua Cheng be able to withstand Xie Lian's violent heat? Will he be able to restrain Xie Lian without allowing him to come to harm?
TLDR: If Xie Lian was a tempermental cat and Hua Cheng had to occasionally shove pills down his throat, but make it sexy?
