Everything about their time on the moon was perfect.
Sonic never fought alongside someone so well as he did shadow, he never was able to perfectly move though other attacks and focus like he did shadow, he never knew he could ever go into his "golden god form" and SHARE IT with someone let alone fight so well.
He never felt so ALIVE
And it all crashed down, along with him of course. Leaving him to try to act like he DIDN’T just have a whole out of body experience fighting alongside a hedgehog he would have to take to the grave.
…until said “dead” hedgehog is caught stealing food from the cooler left outside.

“So, do I have to come back another time?” Hange asks, cocking their head towards Eren.
Levi sighs as he looks his dog over, contemplating. Eren blinks, head tilting, ear flopping the other way. Why is Hange here then? Not to just hang out? Levi mentioned a surprise earlier…
“No, we can go through with it, he hasn’t eaten since I left this morning, so he won’t aspirate while under.”
“Ooh, did your research, huh?” Eren blinks when a hand is extended towards him, fingers flicking back and forth. He stares for a moment before setting his chin in the surprisingly soft palm of the other. Chuckling fills the air. “No, no, silly, your paw,” they clarify. Oh. Eren lifts his bound arm up, elbow placed in Hange’s hand.
He doesn’t expect them to begin removing the bindings keeping his arms as short limbs. Immediately, he whines and looks towards Levi.
“Let Hange do as they please,” he instructs, gaze never once leaving Eren as his right arm is released from its restraint. Immediately, aching pain stabs through his muscles, face scrunching up as he whines and leans away. “Stop making a fuss, you’re perfectly fine.”
A dog always obeys their owner.
