Summary
Stabler looked like shit, but then that was nothing new. The bags under his eyes had been a constant presence in the time Sonny had known him, lines of exhaustion and grief permanently etched into his features in a way that always seemed to catch Sonny off guard, hit him deep in the pit of his stomach. But there was an added detachment to his eyes this time, void of the determination he was so used to seeing. As his eyes tracked across achingly familiar features, he caught sight of a flash of red, a stray spatter of blood on Stabler’s neck, just below his ear, and his breath caught in his throat.

Summary
They walk through Chelsea park, hand in hand, the rays of the setting sun alighting in Amanda’s hair, making her look so breathtakingly beautiful that, for just a second, Kat loses herself in the moment, in the flutter of Amanda’s eyelashes, in the quirk of her lips, in the fire ablaze in her hair, reflected in her eyes, in Kat’s heart.

Summary
“You’re beautiful in the mornings,” Connor said softly, chuckling when Will’s blush deepened further. “And you’re beautiful when you’re blushing.”
Will ducked his head to hide his face, an odd sense of shame filling him up at being seen, being vulnerable, but Connor matched the movement, capturing Will’s lips with his own. The kiss was soft and languid and undemanding, like nothing they’d ever shared before, and Will’s stomach flipped, heart pounding against his ribs.

Summary
“You’re kidding, right? Detective Dominick 'Call Me Sonny' Carisi, Jr., who literally oozes over-eager happiness, doesn’t like weddings?” When Sonny didn’t dignify that with a response beyond a raised eyebrow, Rafael rolled his eyes, turning his head away again. “Well, I enjoy them.”
“Which part?” Sonny couldn’t keep the bitterness from his voice. “The inevitability that it will end, the food that’s cold by the time it gets to you, or the cheap alcohol?”
“Cheap, free alcohol,” Rafael corrected him with a grin before it faltered.
“What?” Sonny prompted with a smirk, almost certain Rafael simply didn’t want to admit he was right.
Rafael muttered something that sounded suspiciously like, “I thought you were better than that,” before the car came to a stop outside Rafael’s apartment.

“I’m not hiding, Carisi. I’m doing my job, just like you.”
“Yeah but--“
“But what?” Rafael snapped, turning to face Sonny properly. “But, I’m your partner? But, I’m here for you? But, I love you?”
“You make it sound like it’s a bad thing,” Sonny said with a quiet laugh, aiming for teasing. He ducked his head a little to catch Rafael’s eyes as he lowered them. “All those things, yes. But also, we don’t always have to be Carisi and Barba.”
“No? Who else would we be?” Rafael asked, voice wavering just slightly before he lifted his gaze again, all steel.
“Sonny and Rafael.”

Summary
Sonny doesn’t remember the first time they met. Not vividly anyway; he was only three. But he remembers Rafael’s face, much younger, but undeniably him.
