Summary
Augustus Porter was just a normal kid who had normal hobbies and he enjoyed them with his friend, Willow Park. Aside from his love of all things human, he also had a flair for solving mysteries and getting to the bottom of things, like his father. As of recently, there’s been a serial killer on the loose dubbed the “Bile-Sac Butcher” and the Emperor’s Coven are nowhere close as to getting some clues as it seems like the killer knows how to hide their tracks well and Augustus finds this to be an interesting challenge and decides to try help out the EC with their investigation and he’s already hit his first roadblock: his dad refuse to even cover the case and would rather focus on other tasks let the EC handle it.
Naturally undeterred, he still presses on and decides to see if he can catch them in the act and what he finds shocks hom to his very core. Nearly caught by the killer, he narrowly escapes and can't believe the identity of the Butcher and fears for his life. His looming sense of dread doesn’t go away the next day and now he’s constantly on edge.
He now realizes that he may have stumbled into something too big for him since he now knows that he’s just a tiny minnow in an ocean filled with sharks….
