Summary
Six months. It had been six months and by now a reunion is in the cards if they play them right. The problem is, one man is seemingly broken beyond repair, the other man is hopelessly optimistically in love, and both are gearing up for a fight they’re not sure they have the strength to fight.
Stede wants to believe that the man he loves is still there somewhere, and Blackbeard wants nothing to do with weakness and feelings any longer.
There is only one promise from Blackbeard, as he stabs his dagger into Stede’s shirt and ties him to the post tightly, “I’ll most likely kill you in the morning.”
